Pakistan railways is the state owned rail transport service of Pakistan. It has its headquarters in Lahore Pakistan.There are apporximately 228 trains operating in Pakistan railways which can be categorized as express, passenger and mail trains. Around 28 of these trains are named passenger trains. A few of these have been suspended because of the recent financial crises faced by Pakistan railways. It carries around 178,000 people per year.
