A Severance Pay is pay and benefits employees receive when they are planning to leave employment at a company or any organization. In addition to the employee's remaining regular pay, it may include some of the following things which are essential, such as an additional payment based on months of service, along with the payment for unused vacations, holiday of sick leave. However payments in lieu of a required notice period must also be mentioned. There are also other things such as the medical, dental or life insurance policies and retirement benefits. In Severance Pay we also account stock options and assistance in searching for new work, such as access to employment services or help in producing a resume or curriculum vitae.
